"Customers for Life" - My vehicle had a non-functioning right turn signal. I had taken it to another mechanic (endorsed by AAA). They couldn't diagnose the problem. Chance, at the Elizabeth Advanced Auto looked at it and initially told me, because the turn signal switch was part of a larger system that included the air bag, replacing it would cost $600 plus labor. Ouch. He called back an hour later, however, and said he'd done some more checking and figured out the problem had actually been caused by a wire being bent by the repeated re-tilting of the steering column. Total cost to fix that: $90. Isn't this what we'd all like our auto technicians to do? We'll be customers of Advanced for as long as we live in this area!
